Objectivist Academic Center - 2021-22 Application
Opens Mar 5 2021 12:00 AM (PST)
Deadline Jul 12 2021 11:59 PM (PDT)
Description

This is the application to enter the Objectivist Academic Center (OAC®) as a graded student in fall 2021. The OAC is ARI’s premier intellectual training program for individuals in or aspiring to careers as professional intellectuals (e.g., educators, lawyers, writers) or as intellectual professionals (e.g., businessmen, doctors, financiers).

If you take Ayn Rand's ideas seriously and are in or pursuing an intellectual career, the OAC is essential to your professional development.

The core of the OAC is a three-year curriculum in which you develop skills in abstract reasoning and philosophical thinking. You deepen your knowledge of Objectivism and learn how to apply it to philosophic and cultural issues. You improve your communication skills and explore what it means to be a professional intellectual or an intellectual professional.

The OAC's live classes are conducted via videoconference and taught by Objectivist experts, who provide personalized feedback on your writing, speaking, and understanding of Objectivism. (All classes are recorded and live attendance is not required, though it is strongly encouraged.)

The OAC is tuition-based, but scholarship support is available for graded students and may be requested with your application.

To apply to be a graded student in the OAC, complete this application and the one-hour entrance exam by the application deadline. Instructions for taking the entrance exam will be emailed to you immediately upon submitting this application.

(Those who are not pursuing intellectual careers are encouraged to audit the OAC to receive the same education as graded students but without grades or other personalized instructor feedback. To sign up as an auditor, complete the auditor registration form. Do not complete this application.)
