Description

This is the application to enter the Objectivist Academic Center (OAC®) as a graded student in fall 2020. This 3-year distance-learning program provides elite instruction in the central questions of philosophy, in Objectivism and its applications, in how to communicate ideas, and—above all—in how to think philosophically.

The OAC features live classes with Objectivist experts conducted via videoconference, and personalized feedback on graded students’ writing, speaking, and understanding of Objectivism. The 3-year graded-student program is aimed at individuals in or aspiring to careers as professional intellectuals (e.g., educators, lawyers, writers) or as intellectual professionals (e.g., businessmen, doctors, financiers).

Those who are not pursuing intellectual careers may audit the OAC to receive the same education as graded students but without grades or other personalized instructor feedback. To sign up as an auditor, simply complete the auditor registration form

To apply to be a graded student in the OAC, complete this application and the one-hour entrance exam by the application deadline. Instructions for taking the entrance exam will be emailed to you immediately upon submitting this application.

The OAC is a tuition-based program, with scholarship support available for graded students.
